what can i do to keep from being caught in the middle of a cat/kitten fight?
i have a 6 year old spayed female cat, who is very posessive of me. she wants to be on me constantly. well, we’ve got a 10 week old kitten(totally unrelated to her) that wants to play on me and w/her while she’s sitting on me.She gets very rude w/him, and swats at him, using her claws. how can i keep from being in the middle of their territorial bouts? the kitten is *really* hyper.
1. Get a squirt bottle and use it to mist or spray the offending kitten or cat.
Say “NO!” really loudly when you do this.
2. Get a metal can and fill it with a few nuts and bolts. Secure it with a lid or duct tape. When the kitties misbehave, shake it hard and the loud sound will scare them and they will scatter.

3. Separate the cat from the kitten and put one in another room. Give that cat a toy to play with.

Eventually, you should be able to control their behavior just with a loud “NO”…
(but keep the squirt bottle handy!)
